About Kate

I grew up in the metro Boston area and moved to Newton in 2004. I’m married to my best friend, Greg, who swept me off my feet. Together we have two boys, a dog, and a pair of sweet bunnies. 

I studied photography and art history and translated my passion for design into careful consideration of composition and an interest in the evolution of trends and aesthetics. 

When I became a mother, I found my passion for designing calm, inviting, and functional living spaces. Utilizing clean lines and simple furnishings I fell in love with designing spaces for daily living. I believe that a well-designed home will work with you by simplifying your life and bringing people together, giving your more time to enjoy the everyday moments. 

After years of helping friends redesign their homes, I decided to embrace my passion and founded Kate Ploussios Interiors. 

With two young boys growing up rapidly in my home, I know that maintaining the balance between aesthetics and function can feel impossible, but I am here to show you how it can be done. I will guide you using both my design expertise and my real-world experience to transform your space into the most beautiful and functional version, tailored to your needs.
